Thailand’s Atthaphon Prathummanee triumphed in the Mercedes-Benz Masters Indonesia and there were many more winners that night at the Gala Dinner – which was held in the impressive Mercedes-Benz showroom in downtown Jakarta.
Earlier in the day Filipino Juvic Pagunsan secured the Mercedes-Benz Order of Merit title. He ended joint fifth to finish with earnings of US$25,405 for the year, ahead of second place Nicholas Fung from Malaysia.

The 32 year old beat compatriot Namchok Tantipokhakul on the first play-off hole in a stunning finish to the season-ending Tour Championship on the Mercedes-Benz Tour.
Filipino Juvic Pagunsan finished joint fifth to secure the Mercedes-Benz Tour Order of Merit title.
Atthaphon holed an eight foot birdie putt to lift the trophy at Emeralda Golf and Country Club after Namchok had mounted an incredible late charge.
Jakarta, October 29: Juvic Pagunsan put himself in the perfect position to claim the US$80,000 Mercedes-Benz Masters Indonesia and secure the Mercedes-Benz Tour Order of Merit after taking the third round lead on a day of high drama.
The Filipino, the current leader of the Merit list, enters the final round with a two shot lead over compatriot Antonio Lascuna, Malaysian Nicholas Fung and Namchok Tantipokhakul from Thailand.
Pagunsan fired a four-under-par 68 at Emeralda Golf and Country Club for a tournament total of 13-under-par 203.
Jakarta, October 28: Antonio Lascuna, who has an outstanding record on the Mercedes-Benz Tour but has yet to win a title, put himself in a strong position for a breakthrough victory by taking the halfway lead in the US$80,000 Mercedes-Benz Masters Indonesia.
The 39-year-old Filipino fired a faultless seven-under-par 65 to lead the season-ending Tour Championship on 11-under-par 133.
He leads by two strokes from compatriot Juvic Pagunsan and Malaysian rookie Nicholas Fung – the duo who are also battling it out to secure the Mercedes-Benz Tour Order of Merit crown.
Jakarta, October 26: Brilliant young Malaysian golfer Nicholas Fung will attempt to add the finishing touches to a fine season on the Mercedes-Benz Tour when he tees-off tomorrow in the Mercedes-Benz Masters Indonesia.
The tournament is the season-ending Tour Championship and is being played at Emeralda Golf and Country Club. It boasts a total purse of US$80,000.
Fung won the Mercedes-Benz Masters Vietnam, the circuit’s first Match Play event, at the beginning of the month for his maiden victory as a professional.
The 20-year-old turned professional at the end of last year and has not missed a cut on the Mercedes-Benz Tour, which boasts 10 events.
Kuala Lumpur, Oct 22: Malaysian number one Danny Chia has confirmed he will play in next week’s Mercedes-Benz Masters Indonesia at Emeralda Golf and Country Club – which is the season-ending Tour Championship on the Mercedes-Benz Tour.
Chia is a two-time winner on the circuit and won the Tour Championship in 2008, when it was held in Thailand.
He joins a stellar field that includes defending champion Namchok Tantipokhakul from Thailand, Filipino Juvic Pagunsan and fast rising Malaysian star Nicholas Fung.
The US$80,000 tournament is being played from October 27 to 30, and features the top-60 players from the Order of Merit. No halfway cut is made so all players are guaranteed prizemoney.
