Prom eyes top spot at Singha Hua Hin Open

Hua Hin, Thailand, May 4: Local hero Prom Meesawat, runner-up twice in the past three editions, will aim to go one better at the 2016 Singha Hua Hin Open, the second event on the ASEAN PGA Tour schedule, which tees off on Thursday.

The bulky Prom, nicknamed the “Big Dolphin” because he was raised in the seaside resort of Hua Hin, lost in a playoff to young gun Pawin Inkhapradit last year and also finished runner-up in 2013 when 14-year-old schoolboy amateur Phachara Khongwatmai made history by becoming the youngest winner of a professional tournament.
