Penang, Sept 8: Kemarol Baharin of Malaysia will bid for his second ASEAN PGA Tour title this season
at the PGM Penang Championship which tees off on Wednesday.
Baharin recorded his first victory on the ASEAN PGA Tour and third on the Professional Golf of Malaysia(PGM) Tour when he claimed the PGM UMW Impian Championship crown with a three-stroke victory in April.
The 29-year-old from Kuala Lumpur shot a final round four-under 68 at Impian Golf & Country Club that

He sits in ninth spot on the ASEAN PGA Tour Order of Merit which is headed by evergreen Thai PrayadMarksaeng, who has two victories to his credit this season.
Baharin’s first priority in this week’s PGM Penang Championship at Penang Golf Club will be making thecut as he missed the weekend play last year after rounds of 72-74.
Amongst the other ASEAN PGA Tour winners in the field are Malaysians Lim Eng Seng, victorious in the2014 PGM-ASEAN PGA Port Dickson Championship, Mohd Shaaban Hussin, who won thePGM-ASEAN PGA Penang Classic in 2013, and Nicholas Fung, winner of the 2012 Palembang Musi
Championship and Mercedes-Benz Masters Vietnam in 2010.
The Penang Championship, which will be played from September 9-12, is the sixth event on thisseason’s ASEAN PGA Tour schedule and is co-sanctioned with the PGM Tour.
